The painting depicts the Houses of Parliament, in springtime, during the early part of the evening. The towers of Westminster Abbey can be seen behind the Parliament building and the new Portcullis House building can be seen to the right of Big Ben, which is located inside the impressive and iconic Elizabeth Tower.
